After being in the restaurant business for many years, I was dissapointed in the limited variety of BBQ sauces. They were either too bland or too ketchup like. I soon realized that to have the perfect BBQ sauce I was going to have to create it. With just the right amount of spicy and sweet, rich and thick. In our restaurant, The Avenue Grill located in downtown Nebraska City, this sauce perfectly compliments our slow-roasted ribs, old fashioned bacon-wrapped meatloaf, chicken and grilled meats.
